Now don’t get me wrong. I love me some fish tacos. Fish tacos should be crisp, light and be accompanied by a creamy but tart sauce that cuts through the deep-fried fat. There are so many things to love about a good fish taco.
However, if you’re going to make a fish taco at home, you should be warned…the process can get a little stinky.
Sure, if you have a super fresh fish, the smell might be minimized. And while there are fish out there that produce less smell (ie. salmon), if you want the classic fish taco experience, you’re likely going to have to delve into the “stinky fish” category (ie. cod, haddock).
My best advice? Open every window, close every door. Unfortunately, this time around we didn’t do that – and my daughter’s room paid the price. Be better than I was, turn on that kitchen fan and open every window!

I’m still new to this whole food blogging thing. So if you’d like the recipe, let me know in the comments and I’d be happy to share!
