If you live in Vancouver, Canada and have not yet had a Duffin’s Donut, can you really call yourself a Vancouverite?!
Duffin’s Donut has been a Vancouver establishment since 1987. Originally located at Main St. and 33rd Ave, the business soon relocated to their current location, 41st Ave and Fraser St. Open from 6:00 am – 12:00 am every day, this local favourite is a perfect location for any meal!
Their Doughnuts…or “donuts”?
While there’s many food options at Duffin’s, one of the undeniable reasons to check them out is for their doughnuts. As their name suggests, this is one of the things they do their best and it’s evidenced in the variety of doughnuts and the quality with which they are made.
My Personal Favourite
Maybe this is basic, but I like what I like. Their Honey Dip is fried dough perfection. The dough is not greasy at all. It’s soft, bouncy and sweet. The glaze is thin and crackly, and doesn’t leave that cloyingly sweet feeling in the mouth.
Yes, there are many other doughnuts to choose from. They have a variety of cake doughnuts along with other classic flavours like jelly filled, barbarian cream, apple fritters, and long johns. All of these other offerings are tasty in their own right, but pale in comparison to their timelessly delicious OG cousin. Just take my word for it, get a bunch of them.
