This is going to be a real quick one.
I love blended coffee drinks. I think my obsession began in high school when I discovered that I could go to Starbucks (like an adult) and not have coffee. Instead I could opt for what looked like a milkshake – but for adults.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago when I found myself in Richmond, BC. I had been told by others that Steveston Coffee Roasting Company was good, but I had never tried it for myself. Let me tell you, it wasn’t just good, but I’m pretty sure they made the best blended coffee drink I’ve ever had. Seriously.
Sure, I’ve had coffee drinks – but never like this one.
The coffee flavour in this blended Caramel Macchiato was rich, complex and deep. The roasted notes were on the forefront of your palate with a pleasant bitterness on the backend. In addition to the complex coffee flavours, whatever they’re using to get their caramel flavour was absolute dynamite.
